Once upon a time there was a duck named Ducky who lived in the Gravina stream of the Sassi di Matera.
She was a very special duck because she had one wing smaller than the other. But this didn't discourage her and didn't stop her from flying and swimming with the other birds.
One day, Ducky heard about a hidden treasure at the bottom of the stream. It was a treasure of gold coins and whoever was able to find them would become very rich.
Ducky was very determined to find the treasure. She was convinced that it didn't matter that she had one smaller wing, she would still be able to find the treasure.
So, every day, Ducky would dive to the bottom of the Gravina stream in search of the gold coins.
It was a very difficult task because the bottom of the stream was very deep and full of dangers like rocks and strong currents. But Ducky never gave up. She was determined to find the treasure and become rich.
One day, while swimming at the bottom of the stream, Ducky saw something shiny. It was a gold coin! It was the first piece of the treasure.
Ducky continued to search and soon found more gold coins. She was very happy and proud of herself. She had shown that it didn't matter to have a smaller wing, because determination and perseverance can overcome any obstacle.
In the end, Ducky found all the gold coins and became very rich. But she never forgot her adventure at the bottom of the Gravina stream and told her story to all her bird friends, to inspire them to never give up, no matter how difficult a task may seem.
